appreciate your view : I got an unrestored and original ~8k miles NSR250 MC18 MK1 which starts at first kick & runs with no issues. Smooth'ish ride and great performance. I also just finished my MC16 rebuild and when I started her (she stood for 20 years and got 4k miles) I notices a significant difference in engine noise. My 18 produces, next to the std engine sound, also a constant whining noise, which does get louder the faster I ride. The 16 does not have any. Any suggestions - I heard bad crank bearings before and I dont think its that - i have ridden her 600miles and the sound has not changed.

Any ideas?
