Thu May 16, 2024 7:57 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

Hey everyone. I recently bought these wheels and advert on eBay didn’t have great pics and they were listed with wrong sizes but anyone know if these are SP or HRC wheels? Front is 3” and weighs 4kg like this and rear is 4.5x17” and weighs 5.5kg like this.

Pice are here;

Hi Yakama, they look like NSR magtecs as fitted to SP models, the early RS250 nf5 had this style of wheel, ie, the flat rim, from about 99 onwards the HRC wheels fitted to the nf5 changed to the more familiar style with a shouldered rim, same as the non SP NSR.

Thanks that was my thoughts too. I think they are too heavy too based on others I have had but what’s weird is the the front disc bolts go all the way through like the hrc wheels

I agree with Les. They look like NSR250R Magteks.

I don't believe the HRC wheels have "DOT" cast into them, as they are not road legal.

To be honest, I expect your instincts are correct anyway. Street Mg wheels feel heavy! (NSR250R Magteks are only about 500g lighter than Enkies.) You can "always" tell an HRC race wheel the moment you pick it up.

Thanks, backing up what I thought then. They were advertised as HRC but I don’t think they are
