Hello there, I'm thinking of getting an RS250 ND5 swingarm for a project bike that I'm working on, but the problem is that the one that I found is literally just the swingarm and no other bits on it.
Does anyone have the parts catalog for this bike (I found the one for the NF5, but no luck for the ND5), or alternatively the part numbers for chain adjusters, rear axle, chain sliders, rear brake caliper and mount, and the rear suspension linkage parts?
Can some MC16 parts be used or is it more "similar" to the NX5?
I've been trying to source an ND5 manual from Japan for years, but when they come up they are just insane money... £100+, plus local fees/shipping, plus agent fees, plus international shipping, and it's just to much!
Having said that, depending on your project, I think you would be much better off with an '87 MC16 or 88 MC18 R2/4J swingarm. The ND5 stuff is extremely rare and hard to come by.
The ND5 is more like NS250R. The NF5 is in some ways similar to NSR250R. The NX5 & NXA are totally different. (Drive was swapped to the RHS from NX5 onwards.)
Bear in mind the RS uses a different shock linkage arrangement to the NSR. _________________ Andy.

Hey, thanks for the reply.
Having done some more research on potential parts since the swingarm itself is quite cheap, I think that some parts could be sourced from other bikes.
For the chain adjusters, I think that they just re-used parts from some of their production bikes of the same era, probably the same for the rear axle. For the linkage, I believe that the linkage from MC28 NSR250 would fit since that swingarm also has "ears" on it instead of a bushing. Chain sliders could probably be custom-made by bending a thick piece of plastic.
Not entirely sure about the brakes, but I think that I read that one of the RS250 bikes had the rear brakes from one of the Honda scooters, so there's a chance of it being similar to the chain slider situation. But that's for the future since I haven't decided on what rear wheel I will use, wouldld like a 17" wheel (I think that there was one in the NF5 manual), but most of them are 18".
As for the manuals, I only found a reproduction manual on ebay, but it's only $33.
Also have you looked through these Japanese pages for useful info?
