What’s in a forum name ?

What’s in a name ?

Quite a lot actually - after years of being a guest and slowly absorbing content and info I finally got round to joining and creating an account, when it came to deciding upon a log in name and finding that my “go to one’s” were already taken i.e Spud (my nickname from school in the 1980’s)
So lacking imagination and thinking it would be just for logging in I settled upon Wayne_Gardner as I was rebuilding a Rothmans NSR and had a picture of his bike on the wall,

Anyway long story short Wayne is still a legend and I’m no longer the faux Wayne_Garnder round these parts but rather Spud_MC18……More me and less sycophantic / cringey

Sorry for hi jacking your name Wayne - I’ve handed it back in 😆
Thanks Andy for being accommodating

So this whole time I wasn’t actually conversing with Wayne Gardner. ☹️

I would have gone with Rothmans-Spud, though I expect the ingredients would be ketchup, mustard and blue cheese 🤮

Sh** that’s a good one - wish I’d had the imagination to think that one up !
Obvious, relative and catchy

Darn you Rob

[A] Because you asked so nicely...
[B] Because of your status as a Ti Member...

Just don't tell anyone, lest they get the same idea! Oops! Laughing

Thanks everyone for putting up with me being vain over a bloody name 😆

Great outcome and collective work

And special thanks for Andy for humouring me and changing it twice in a week 🙈
