I am restoring a NSR MC 16
Can anyone tell me which way the black waterpump seal go in Does the flat side of the seal face the waterpump bearing or the other way Also where does the black and white seal go ?

Here is the technical diagram for the water pump assembly from the MC28 service manual, which is generally much clearer than the photos they used in the MC16-21 service manual. The setup for all models is the same.

The open end of the inner seal [part #] faces the bearing.
