Inputs specifically on this type of NSR would be highly appreciated. Links,comments and modifications are encourage. Post em up mates!
What are HRC's for? What type of exhaust system suits this model? How does a stock CDI looks like? What does a HRC CDI looks like? What other HRC or similar upgrades, kits or mods can be purchased for this NSR?
http://www.tyga-performance.com: you can find some aftermarket parts for the MC18 from these guys, they also have HRC parts too... not sure for the MC18 though, as I don't own one. _________________ Jerry Lai

Thanks for the lead.
@dave
been reading, but the topic is all spread out. would be fine if it can be found on one thread thou.
Yup, been there chief. Just wanted to know more from your personal experience guys!
I'll give a review if i can ride the MC18 this weekend race at our local race track.....my first time with 2 strokers. Hope to win the championship this time or at least keep my 1st runner-up title this season.
I guess the real differences from the 18 to the 21 is the wheel sizes, the restriction, and the age.
The 18 was (for the most part) not restricted, so made decent power from the word go. However it had 18 inch rear wheel, which means slightly less choice of rubber. The 17inch MC21 wheel will go straight in though.
On the track there's really nothing between them.
Looks are personal, and I think the 18 looks dated whereas the 21 doesn't.
Tuning parts are readily available for both, and many parts will interchange as far as engines are concerned. You can even go as far as fitting the entire wiring loom and gubbins from the 21 if you want to.
Bolt on goodies include HRC jet kits, ignition units, reeds, stuffers, and all manner of pipes / cans from various manufacteres. Tyga are popular, because the guys know and love NSR's, and are English, though they work from Thailand.
How deep are your pockets? How much power do you want? _________________ MC21SP Plaything

Hello Dave, thanks for the reply. Yup, im planning to get the proceeds from my Ducati 916 Senna to buy parts for my NSR 250cc and get it race prepped. As for now i am in limbo with strokers, as i had more time on the saddle with my 2002 R6 and CBR400RR tri-arm.
Races here in the Philippines are between 250cc strokers are pitted with inline 400's.
I'm getting excited with the NSR as it has more variations in set-up's as compared with the inlines.
Preparing for the race this weekend, the guys from the other site and our club mates doesn't have a clue i'm riding a NSR this weekend. Hope it doesn't rain.
