Hi, I'm new to this forum and new to NSR250s in general. We just picked up a new race bike but it needs a ton of work to run well again and be pretty.

Looking through this site and the resources available, I've found just about everything we're going to need but for the life of me I can't figure out where to get a new gas tank! The one currently on the bike is dented and rashed pretty bad and it would be best to just replace it when we do the bodywork.

Anyone know where to find this mysterious part? fwiw, I'm in Seattle, WA.

Thanks for the replies! Out of sheer curiousity, is there an online retailer that sells new tanks or do you pretty much have to find someone that's selling one? I'm guessing there *are* retailers but you have to be able to read Japanese or use a good translator to order from them.

I would suggest going through Jamie (jamie@dreamgate.ne.jp). He can get you almost any NSR parts that you need. He's a good honest guy.

I'm sure I'll be posting frequently with more parts we need and questions on how exactly to deal with various components as we tear down the engine and what not.
