Hello all, i did a search last night for ZXR fork conversion. got a few returns and i see a few people have done it. From what i see i need to get some bushes (any idea what size) made up and they will slap straight on using NSR cones and bearings. However what about the front wheel, can i use the original one? do i need new spacers? what about calipers and discs? I could go for a complete ZXR front end but i want to keep the front wheel if i can as the zxr is a 3 spoke afair and the bike would look strange....any help would be great!
i have done the cinversion. i had some bushes made the then everything fitted together very well. i am using the nsr wheel, discs and brake. i need some vfr discs though coz the nsr ones are to small when the calipers are mounted in the zxr caliper holes. _________________ 94 mc28 SE
Does changing the front forks to ZXR units improve the handling much or is it mostly for cosmetic reasons? Are the ZXR forks more rigid than the NSR's? Does the bike retain the NSR feel after the conversion?
Has anyone had a chance to ride both ZXR and RVF USD conversions? I'm just wondering how they compare to each other.
I would say more cosmetic than anything else! Properly set up, the conventional NSR forks are actually very good. _________________ Andy.

I cant say yet as there not on my bike yet, But its PURE cosmetic for me, off course ill have them rebuilt and set up first... but i think USD's look better. At cadwell the NSR was faultless with its 15 year old set up, i only dialed in a little preload (no other options) and mine is just a standard R model, The rear is next, AGAIN cosmetic but im after an ohlins unit...Oh yeah 1 Plus is the bigger discs, should help it the stoping dept.
i have a zxr 250rr front end on my 21
i took all the bits to dbr racing and he fitted the lot for under £200
he also machined the ignition barrel housing off the top yolk
made some adaptor brackets to fit brembo calipers and made the spacers to fit the nsr wheel all in that price
he made a very good job
they do all the work on the mss kawasakis
there just outside clacton
i also used vfr/rvf discs
they also made aload of stuff for maxim to fit his zxr 6rr front end on his nsr
i think monkey has used them aswell _________________ Half the strokes, twice the fun

The NSR comes with the same brake setup as the Fireblade of '92, a bike carrying 60 KG more. You need better brakes? _________________ MC21SP Plaything
