If got an Mc16 (1987-1989) 250cc and I really need help on tunning the carbs. I know the air screw is 1,5 turns out and the float hight is 13mm, but I don't know from where to where to measure the 13mm.
Any help on carb tunning will be good. Pics to display the distance to measure and carbs are more than welcome.
The pic sort of explains where to measure from and to, but you have to be sure that the float valve has just shut, but the little springy bit in the end of the float valve is not compressed.
Tip the carb up so that the float valve shuts off, then slowly lower it down again until the float fall away and the valve open. Tip back again until the float valve will just stay shut. It's a bit of a balancing act, but easy to get the hang of.
SOunds complicated but once you've got the carbs in front of you (and N.B. in the correct orientation!), then Matt's excellent description will suddenly be obvious. _________________ MC28 SE -sold-
