Check out Frank Mitchell's MC21 Rolfo replica, it's the new "Featured Bike".
Posers' World will soon be updated to include it, along with a host of other updates people have litterally been screaming at me for! Sheesh, I never expected it to become so serious!!
Also coming soon, features on Dave & Wes Booth's visit to the MotoGP at Donnigton and their trip to Italy and his meeting/meal with Robby Rolfo and family.
Well what can I say.My NSR finally made the hallowed front page.I am stoked. Thanks to Andy for all your effort. Also thanks to all of the forum users for the advice and general banter. The bike runs well and is still as fresh as the day I built it.Roll on the next proj ect.
Andy!!!!! you have miss used your words....... Dave Booth is not going to be happy!....... You should have written .....Dave Booth is going to be jealous!!!!! Frank is justified in being "well pleased" with this bike. It is georgeous. Us old giffers have had their day now, and it's time to move over for the young 'uns.
I met up with Scott Voreor ( is that how his name is spelt?) last night and he filled me with passion for two strokes with his banter. I recon that once you hear and smell two strokes you become addicted. I, like Frank was inspired to build my Roby rep by watching GP racing. And apart from making me poorer, my life has been enriched. ring a ding, ding. _________________ Hmmmmm!
Thanks for the recognition Dave, it is well appreciated.Your bike was a big inspiration.I just hope my bike now makes people drag dead NSR's back to life. The project took alot of time, money and research.Ther are things I would probably do different but it was a good learning curve.
Hey Frank, I take it that if you're running an RVF front wheel, it's a 3.5" item. If so, what size front tyre are you running? I spoke with Bridgestone as I'm also on 090's, and because I'm on a 3.5 and the best fitment was a 120, they said that the 160 090 was a better profile match for the 120 front. I'm also running the 120/60, rather than the 120/70.
It feels amazingly planted when you're cranked over, but the initial change of direction seems a bit too quick to me, and it now gets a bit slappy on anything but smooth roads.
Just interested to see what option you went for... _________________ NSR300R - Why did i ever have a 250...
That's what I originally thought Andy, but check this out... The 160 is at the bottom of the table. When I spoke to Bridgestone, they confirmed that the 4.5 was the ideal fitment also... I always thought I'd have needed a 5.25 or 5.5...
Would that mean they have several different types of 160 tyre? What does the IPC mean? Individual product code? _________________ MC21SP Plaything
