he now things its a mc16
but my engine number starts with mc16 even though its an mc18 or is it?????
can anyone help me out with this one
I can't tell you right now as I am in the middle of moving house and the parts manuals are in a box somewhere! (I just had a quick look through the hard drive too, but I just don't have time - sorry!)
MC16E is the "generic" model type for the NSR motor - a bit like "Series 3/5/7" for BMW cars... they are all "Series X" but they all look different!!! :)
I think it works the same for NC30's too... _________________ MC21SP Plaything

Stevo, do you have a picture (or a couple) of the motor you can send me. The MC16 and MC18 motors are a little different, although they do fit in the same hole!!! :)
OK Stevo, there are a couple of visual differences, but I can't remember off the top of my head!
I'll see if I can dig out the MC16/18 manual tonight and get back to you. If I remember correctly, the most identifiable features are the heads. Also, if the inlet manifold is on, then the MC16 rubber "boots" for the carbs are substantially smaller than the MC18 32mm items (26 or 28mm I think).
