Moto GP Seat unit for MC 18

Mon Oct 10, 2005 7:45 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

MC 18 owners.
Have you looked at the TYGA moto GP seat unit for the MC 21 and MC 28 models and wished they made one for the MC 18? I have spoken to Tyga about this and they advised that if we could get between 3 and 5 people to commit to buying one, they would invest the time in producing one for us. What do you think? Any takers contact me via this forum or contact Matt/Paul direct at Tyga.

MC18 Tyga GP seat

Tue Oct 11, 2005 7:49 pm » Post: #7 » Download Post

Yes. it is me and if I could work out how to add a picture of my mc21 I would.
The Tyga guys suggested that at least 3 seat units would need to be made to cover their development costs but 5 would make it a more interesting proposition. I guess that they would produce a kit smilar to the MC21/28 kit and sell it for a similar price. If I can get 5 people interested and 3 that would commit to Tyga I think they would produce one. If we get 5 postings I'll ask again and get them to firm up on a price. If you are interested could you let me know which country you are based in as this could make a big difference to the shipping costs.

Lovely looking bike and seat. Too late for me i'm afraid. I wanted a better looking seat for my mc18. Bought a honda rs250 seat off of ebay. No idear what model it is. similar too one in picture but not the same. With a bit of effort a big hammer and an angle grinder got it to fit with very little problem. Currently fitting a better looking fairing. When done i'll try and post some pics. Won't be a show winner (just for track days really).
