Hi all.
I have finally completed my top end rebuild.
was my first time so it was quite a bitch. but i found that it was actually not too bad. it took so long for me as i did not have the right tools and proir knowledge. but i believe next time it is due i can do it in 2 days max!
a questions tho. i have put about 1 litre and a bit of mixed coolant in there. am i suppose to fill it till the cooland goes up to the overflow bottle becuase at the moment it is empty.
oh yeah. it runs great!
thanks nsr-world and members for all the help along the way! _________________ Philip Ahn

Yeah, the coolant bottle should be full to the lower line. If you overfill it the extra will be expelled when the fuild heats up and expands. _________________ MC21SP Plaything

I'm in Glen Waverley too!! Dude, like, oh my god
Yea seriously, the weather is really starting to come good and we gotta get our bikes sorted quick so we can go for a fang in the hills _________________ Jerry Lai

You use Motul 600 right?
i have never used it before. it says it is "anti smoke".
i noticed that it does not put out much smoke at all. even on start up.
i was wondering if you find it the same. just did my rebuild so i want to make sure i dont have a oil pump failure anywhere. i have beld the oil pump etc and cheked the lines.
Yeah I use the Motul 600 and it doesn't smoke too much either (hardly any when it's warmed up) and mine is running a bit rich too (so says the last Dyno run )
I think it should smoke up a little on start up though. But I'm no bike or NSR expert, so don't take my observations as gospel _________________ Jerry Lai

woah guys...i gotta practise more b4 going down any hills, otherwise the only method ill be travelling for the rest of my life will be in a wheel chair! hahah....
maybe we can get together when biatchy agrees to do my engine rebuild ahhahahah =P
It's not as scary as you think and we don't ride like maniacs either... well not me anyways
I'm a total n00b too (only done about 3,500kms) and I've only been up the mountains about 3 or 4 times - once in the wet too and I managed to get back safe and sound.
Maybe we should do a ride out to Arthur's Seat. I've heard it's much easier than the Spurs. _________________ Jerry Lai

haha, yeah I couldn't imagine myself doin that too.. until I tried it and did it!
I hope it wasn't just me that you saw in Glen Waverley
<-- Mine looks like this, but not as clean as this one of course _________________ Jerry Lai

Dun worry mate, it'll be you and me at the back of the pack. Just ask Bryan & SCRMR how slow I am Thye're always slowing down for me to catch up
I think mine will be due for a rebuild in the not too distant future. We could have like a "Rebuild" session _________________ Jerry Lai
