Anybody got aftermarket pipes for an MC18 for sale (or MC16)? Please PM me if you do - new or used, with or without cans. Cash waiting. Anything considered.
Thanks Skooter - but I am looking for a performance increase and/or weight saving... The pipes on the 16 are perfectly good, but standard and heavy. I have some nice carbon cans that came with the bike, I thought since I've got the MC18 top end on it, I'd try different pipes to get more power.
Thanks Mr Psycopath - I have emailed them, they confirmed they make MC18 pipes, the issue is will they fit or can they be fitted to the MC16. If so I will be getting a pair.
I had an MC18 frame that 'came with' an engine I bought, it 'looked' the same as the 16.....
So I'm hoping to try 18 pipes for fit, of I might just bite the bullet and get tyga MC18 pipes, and make them fit...
best way to go mat, you should be able to make up a bracket for the mounting point at the rear no problem. make sure you get early mc18 as the r5k pipes will be to high at the rear. _________________ faster-faster-faster-faster+pop. oh sh*t its fecked again.
I've done the same, MC18 top end on a 16, except it was in an MC18 chassis.
You'll know if it is an MC16 engine in the '18 chassis, because you have to take 8mm off the sprocket side of the rear upper engine mount for it to fit and the chain to line up.
But I had the 18 top end and pipes on it.
Come to think of it, I just had the MC16 engine in it for a while, with the '18 electrics (PGMII) and the MC18 pipes and heads, before I got the MC18 cylinders.
Note: The MC16 RC valve servo (needed for the MC16 cylinders) runs BACKWARDS with the MC18 electrics! _________________ The Chopster
