Just recently got my NSR restored. It is fun to ride it around. Guess I am still relatively new to this type of engine. I feel so different when launching it at low RPM. The bike sometimes feels a bit jerky or lugging and there was a time it stalled after a few seconds moving with the first gear. It is especially difficult when doing slow tight turns. Is the low end of the engine really that bad or am I doing it wrong? Any suggestion? Thank you.
sounds a bit like mine mate, mine has been jetted for more top end power " a harder punch at higher revs" and i have to rev the arse of mine to get it off the line. but once its going _________________ MC21SP - Roth-tax

The two stroke is designed to produce a lot of power at a certain rev range - the top. The manufacturers have improved things a lot with power valves, but really it's still not good when you're out of the 'power band'.
Use a lower gear and higher revs and you'll find it all a bit smoother. _________________ MC21SP Plaything
