I got some RS coils from Jamie that seem to fire up my 28! _________________ 1995 A kit TZ 250

I think from looking at them that NS400 and NS125 coils are the same. If you're stuck, I think you should be ok to use a coil off a different bike, esp if you pick a bike with similar cc per barrel.
Okay, I guess I got a little ahead of myself, and took my pants off!
Seems I miss-understood my supplier. The Front coil is no longer available from Honda while the rear coil is. Honda is simple recommending to use the rear coil, and cut the plug wire down to size.
Okay, I'll stop building that bunker out back, as I thought the world was coming to an end.
Charles,
Honda uses that same style coil in ALL KINDS of stuff! I have a 1990 XR250 which uses an identical coil (different plug cap, though) and have seen them on all sorts of other things from scooters, NSR50s, 80s, etc.
If you have the head conversion on, using the upper coil is a plus anyway. You can use the lower plug cap on an upper coil and the lead is long enough you can mount the coil in the stock location. _________________ Paul Herr

MPM my part dealer has got some of them used for sale.
I'll test the resist of each circuit tomorow to be sure they are the same. _________________ watch my www
Hmm thats interesting you got a coil for $45, the local honda dealer was gonna charge me $150 used until I figured out my CDI was buggered and not the coil... But I guess living in NZ adds $$ to these things. _________________ '87 MC16
