I think you'll find it is restricted on the black box. I believe it is a simple one to do. Have you tried looking at the tuning section on this site??
I'm sure plenty of people Dave / Andy or Matt will be able to tell you.
Good luck.

I don't believe the '16's were "restricted" at all, speed restriction wasn't law then, tiny carbs and weeny ports are the reason they've only got 45bhp.
I can't find anything in the tuning section about them, probably as the only thing to do is replace the offending barrels and carbs with later bits, alledgedly the '18 and '21 pipes sort of fit too.

I assume 18 and 21 barrels and carbs bolt straight on the 16 crankcase? anyone done this before?

Hi,

I have fitted MC18 barrels to an MC16, the barrels went straight on. (I got a cheap engine on ebay that said MC16 on the item, but it turned out to be an MC18. The carbs go on but you need the MC18 rubber as well as the carbs. The airbox side of it goes straight on.

I'm about to try fitting MC18 pipes to see if I get a power boost, if I can get them to fit.

Mat.
