Firstly, thanks for the replies. I ditched the el' cheapo comp. tester and got a good quality one.(thanks to a previous post clearing that one up) Comp test now shows 100 psi (f) 105 psi (r) cold engine , WOT. Is this still within specs? Bike is MC21 22000 km.
Thanks for the air filter advice, I'm having trouble locating a stock or aftermarket element, Uniflow does not fit. Any help in this area would be appreciated.

That comp is more like it. Could still be a little higher, but is certainly serviceable.

For the filter, have you tried the genuine Honday route? Or perhaps TYGA? You could always just get some filter foam from the likes of Pipercross and cut it to fit...

Didn't know bulk sheets of filter foam existed until today. located some and the good wife cut it precisely to size. Installed and good to go for tomorrow!
What filter oil do you guys use, if any? I've got the Silcoline stuff but it seems to be very gooey. I wouldn't use any but Australia is very dry and dusty at the moment, nothing like the good old UK!

That oil is imperative in keeping your NSR in one peice. It stops your combustion mixture from becoming grinding paste - don't leave home without it!

Unless you're a racer running no filter and need the 3hp more than the 15,000 mile rebuild interval!
