Hi, I saw a ride magazine article a while back, did a test on loads for accuracy etc, the top one was a Halfords Professional, got a better accuracy mark than a £250 snap on one. They are £50 so I bought one.
It has worked well for me so far for a couple of years and about six engine rebuilds on various bikes...
Oh yeah - there are two ranges 8nm to 60nm and 20 to 100 (or something) the 8-60 is a good range and means better accuracy at low torques.
Fenton the Strap-On ones are very good, though I think a bit steep for what else you can get. If you have the account though then it's interest free over 6 months... And their lifetime guarentee is a proper no quibbles one unlike some! _________________ NSR300R - Why did i ever have a 250...
all my tools are from snap-on and i have never had any trouble swapping things with them but saying that i did not buy them my old firm did and when i got laid off the tools came home with me i have only bowerd them for a bit
If your looking for a particular range to get, it depends on what the torque value is. You should choose the torque wrench when the value of torque falls between 1/4 and 7/8 of the indicated range of the wrench. Hope that helps. _________________ To much HP is barely adequate!
