NRS to NSR?

Mon Jan 23, 2006 3:31 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

There has been talk in the past of building an NRS and I know that Tyga have built one, but what I was wanting to know was how could I run NSR barrels and pistons on the '91 RS250 crankcase. I know that the RS has a 14mm pin and the NSR has a 15mm pin. Anyone know how I could get round this?

Why would you want to do that anyway?

I'm sure Matt will know how to do it...

Coz they don't really make stuff for the old RS250's so it's difficult to find consumable parts like pistons.

Thought I might run it with NSR barrels and pistons....if I had an RS that is....hypothetically speaking..... Rolling Eyes

Why would I even consider putting NSR barrels on an RS Shocked

SACRILEGE Mad

If you did want to put NSR barrels on I suppose you could use old CR125 or RM125 pistons. Up to '87 used a 54mm bore & 14mm pin I believe on both models. Obviously deck heights and piston lengths etc etc would need checking and adjusting but it could be done.

That's all I'm gonna say on this subject.
