Just arranged with a mate to do a track day on the above date! Hottrax (i think thats them) are running it, its a Saturday and youll still have the rest of the easter weekend to recover, he has a couple of RGV5's and apparently there should be alot of other rg's there, and maybe a few rgv's!!!!! as there is talk of everyone meeting up at cadwell on the rg gamma forum apparently (bet they all have beards and big bellys ) , we'r going anyway . so if intrested we'll see ya there!
hmmm, Cadwell you say? April 15th you say? Tempting, very tempting....
If Mr Grant sends me some bits I could be there. But as I fear for Monkey's ability to commit another £120+ pre his wedding and also for the weather in April I may just blip over on the diesel and pay for a 1/2 day if it looks good _________________ Please do not PM me technical questions, if you can't find it on the Forum start a thread
Well itll be good to see ya, if you do..... Monkey!! weddings are overrated, LOL just get her a big mac and a night in the travellodge, track days are far more fun LOL if she loves you she'll understand.....
may come and give you look dont reckon i will ride as i get back from 4 days on track in spain on the tues and iam racing the following weekend _________________ Half the strokes, twice the fun
it will be good, even if you come for a wee look, I know it's a Suzi but Gary's Harris RG500 sounds FCUKing awsome like a real GP bike - it's worth it just to listen to that thing!!!!!
why is it so exspensive, there are trackdays there around begining of April for £89 _________________ MC21SP - Roth-tax

It must be because its a saturday and easter weekend!!!! they do have days early in april for 59 quid!!!! but saturday is cool, its a long weekend also.
It is (apparently) caused by what the track owner charges for the day, alledgedly around £13k for Brands Hatch full track, clearly they charge less in winter as no one would pay £200+ for a trackday in December and some money coming in is better than no money at all coming in even if it doesn't fully cover all the track costs.
As long as it pays more than the extra staff the day requires, i.e. marshalls, emergency vehicles etc. cost it's worth it as the other costs, rates, general staff wages, any outstanding finance etc. still have to be paid anyway.
As anyone who has tried to run a business knows cash flow can be far more important than outright profit especially in the shorter term.
Obviously all staff will need paying more for Saturday and even more for a Sunday.
And depending on how cynical you are they'll either charge more just because they can and people will pay it in summer or charge less in winter because they have to just to pursuade people to go.
As 100%bikes and a couple of others went broke last year no one is getting very rich from us anyway. _________________ Please do not PM me technical questions, if you can't find it on the Forum start a thread

Very true, ive been to a few track days and used to use www.motorcyclefolly.co.uk all the time as they run a superb day! but they aint cheap and at the moment have no days to offer, last year they only had 7 or 8 events.. however i do recomend them they keep the numbers down and always have top guys attend, people who care about the machine more than out right speed and knee down..
I also know that alot of these orgonisers have trouble getting insurrance, i tried to set up my own track day company but the insurrance was way way to expensive, although it looks like they are milking it, youll find that even the big guys like focused events are only making around 500 - 1000 profit per event!! which isnt a great deal unless you can run all year round, PS i know for a fact that brands FULL circuit is £26,000 for a days hire!! work that out!!
Anyway i have my place confirm and if anyone is comming ill see you all there!
Got 5 from the gamma list comming!!! so if anyone fancys sticking there 250 up against a 500 come and join us!!!! there is 4 of us in novice (im one of them cause im scared and my mate cause he dosent want hurt his bike LOL ) and 3 (3 gamma guys) in inters...
Ive put a post up on the rgv forum too.. be good to get some kawa's and some yams along too....
