Hey all, I've looked through the forum and can't find out if anyone has ever nickel plated a set of stock exhaust pipes(expansion chambers) and what it might cost? I have a 94 SE and want to try and keep it pretty much stock for reliability purposes. I just purchased a set of carbon fiber silencers from Mike at Mwestfactory and must say I'm very impressed. The bike seems to run a little better and actually seems to give it a little more power. Thanks
Nickel plating works quite well, and looks pretty good. I had my CR500 pipe nickel plated 'cos the steel was gonna go rusty and I was quite pleased with the results.
Can't say that it comes close to a set of lovingly welded SUS pipes, or even newly welded steelies, but I've got no complaints.
Black bar-b-que paint has worked a treat! And Honda made them black as standard... _________________ MC21SP Plaything

I got the 250s'. It sounds a little different, not too much louder than stock. The biggest advantage is the weight, both of the carbon silencers weigh less than 1 stock silencer. For some reason the silencers did not bolt right on, a small rat-tail (round) file and about 1 hour later they were on the stock chambers.
