Hi all,
just bought a mc28 from a dealer, it done about 32000ks, and condition is pretty gd except for some strach mark on fairing possibly from a drop, but is minor tho.
anyway just wonder how long does a 2-stroke engine needs rebuilt & how much approx.?
How to tell if a bike ever had an accident b4?
if i wanna get a HRC card where to find, as i tried search around the web dun seems to hv any for sale.?
Does the HRC card works with any MC28, and does that mean i wont need my pgm4 card to start the bike?
Is there different types of HRC card for different settings?
Last question, in genral how to care a MC28, like what is the usual problem and prevention?
any info about MC28 will be appreciated
lots of question thx for answering!! _________________ MC28, Repsol
A top end rebuild is required when compression is low on your cylinders. You'll need to get yourself a Compression Tester from someplace like Supercheap Auto, to check the compression. A rebuild kit is around the AU$400 mark).
You can get an HRC 030 card by contacting the guys from TYGA Performance or TSR-World. Even though it's not listed on their website, they may still be able to source it for you. Expect to pay around the AU$400 mark for one of these cards. A wire splice is required after fitting the card. Read here for more info.
Keep your stroker maintained; feed it quality fully synthetic 2 stroke motorcycle oil like Motul 600/Castrol Race2/or other quality 2T oil... and not lawn mower oil!
Ensure your Power Valves are opening and closing freely. They tend to get carbon build up and can get stuck which can cause a loss in power.
I'm sure there is more, but I can't be arsed reciting them all now as I actually have work to do that I can't put off any longer _________________ Jerry Lai

As Monkey says, do a search. If you type in MC28 it'll bring up a whole bunch of stuff. Also read the main site for a lot of background and usefull info... _________________ MC21SP Plaything

Juls, please can you type in plain English as requested in The Rules.
Many of the users of this Site do not use English as their primary language, so abbreviated text can be extremely difficult to understand. _________________ Andy.

When you order a HRC030 card, they will ask you what your PGM4 serial number is, this number will be located on a silver sticker under your PGM4 meter display panel (you will have to take it off the panel to get to this number - only 3 screws: SEE HERE).
the NSR-World Ignition Tuning Page wrote:... the lights, indicators (turn signals), brake light, oil, side stand, and neutral warning lights are all removed. The speedo is also disabled and the display's used as a temperature gauge.
Read here for MC28 Wire splice on stock loom with HRC card installed to get most of your road going electricals back. Your LCD display will still be a giant Temp Gauge though and you will need to install a speedo. _________________ Jerry Lai

Why will you?
I'd have said not having to take a hacksaw to your dash/source an incredibly hard to find HRC dash for your bike in order to lose the speedo was a major plus point. _________________ Please do not PM me technical questions, if you can't find it on the Forum start a thread

Thanks again for replying,
I just got an idea that is if i uses switches to change the wire layout from stock to the HRC card compatiable and switching going back to stock layout so i can use my original PGM4 card whenever i want to and get all my stock setting back for normal road use, is it possible?
Im planing to do a major modification to my bike soon other than HRC card, what is the most needed first for modification? thankyou guys
PS i need the speedo otherwise i will be speeding so much without knowing.. _________________ MC28, Repsol
From experience, the jetting for a de-restricted set up and 030 card does NOT work well with the standard card when switched back. [WAAAAY too rich]
Of course, your pipes and box etc will be different to mine.
But PLEASE check it before you run it too far. _________________
Do I have to change the jetting setting when I use a HRC030 card?
My plan is to get the HRC a card and upgrade the horse power further by fitting something like the Tyga MC28 power up kit, which get most power gain from exhust upgrade, do you guys think this is a good way?
If I do the above modification is it nessesary to upgrade other parts too to withstand the extra power, like stronger power transmission component and more powerful breaks, tyres etc??
Thanks _________________ MC28, Repsol
