powervalves mc18

should the servo motor make a noise when the ignition is turned on?because it seems that sometimes the powervalves are not opening could anyone help with this please thanks

Depends what revs you turned off the engine at.

The valve does not cycle like the RD and TZR used to do, but if the valves were open when you shut off the ignition then the motor will drive them closed for startup.

To check it is working, switch off the igntion, remove the right hand panel and rotate the valves by hand. Switch the ignition back on and the motor will drive the valves closed...
