Wanted to get hold of a set of PJ38 carbs but know they are as rare as rocking horse teeth. So my question to the brotherhood is what else uses these carbs. I'm thinking CR250/500......would this be correct?
Tom, Tom, Tom... Yes I think there are a number of bikes that use these. Or you could try Stephens 39's... They are probably easier to get hold of! _________________ NSR300R - Why did i ever have a 250...
The carbs are the easy part! Finding the boots to mount them is where the fun starts. Any PJ motorcross carbs will work with the right jetting or you can go straight to Kehin. From what I'm told the boots are as rare as gold. Good luck!!! I found mine on E bay. _________________ 1995 A kit TZ 250

Paul was whining 'cos I haven't got a set of insulators for him, so I'm in the process of modifying my 300 cases to take the later (bigger) NF5 reed valves and insulators, and will donate my insulators to Paul.
I'm a bit fed up with all the talk about torque in the midrange, so I've got a plan to take a big spoon, scoop out everything below about 7 grand and dump it on the top. Totally unrideable but should be good for a laugh.
I've a set of the carb boots so no problem there, just wanted to know what might fit. Been offered a set of carbs without p0wer jets.......that mean they won't idle?
Matt are you trying to say that now you've mastered the 300 on dusty, pot hole ridden roads you wanna make it a little more 'interesting'. You thought about setting the power valves to fully open all the time. Nothing .....nothing......then bam we hit the powerband. Just like my old TZR125, arhhhh....memories
