I've just taken the MC21 out for her first test ride having owned it for 6 months & never ridden it. I can't believe how quick these things are. Having owned a ZXR750 for the last 10 years, I wasn't expecting much from a 250, but boy was I wrong. At 9000rpm in 2nd, the front wheel parts company with the road and everything becomes a bit of a blur. _________________ Warning:

That's what I like to hear!! If only more people gave up those oil barge 1000's and rode 250's! _________________ NSR300R - Why did i ever have a 250...
Why not ride both? _________________ 1995 A kit TZ 250

I still have the ZXR, mainly because it's not worth selling, but also because it sounds sooooo sweet But I think it will be spending most of the summer in the garage gathering dust. The NSR is just so much more fun to ride. I've only done about 20 miles on it, but I just can't get the grin off my face
I've still got to get the paint job done, but hopefully within a few short weeks it will be unleashed on an unsuspecting public. This is the first "special" i've built, and out of all the advide I have received, the most important bit is...."YOU WILL RUN OVER BUDGET"
But hey, that's why we go to work isn't it, to buy trick bits for bikes? _________________ Warning:

sh*t I'm allready about £500 over budget (very conservative estimate ) , and mines not a special.
Although I was warned it would turn into a money pit and it has but I wouldnt change it for anything at the moment. _________________ If you dont like the way that i ride.....Stop trying to keep up!!!!!
I only wanted to spend £2500 in total for mine... That's including the bike and the mods... Hmm! How far wrong was I
But yeah - the day job is solely to buy bits for the moto... Just don't tell my bank manager (the wife) _________________ NSR300R - Why did i ever have a 250...
AND WHEN YOUR FINISHED!!!!!!!! there is always something else you find that needs doing, LOL me im going pods, premix, and maybe (well probaly) 300cc kit next!!!, bigger brakes!!! itll never end!!! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Hello my name is Mick and I'm addicted to spending money on my NSR.
I was always told that the 1st step to recovery is admiting you have a problem. _________________ If you dont like the way that i ride.....Stop trying to keep up!!!!!
Well just to be the fly in the oinkment, mine is staying standard (apart from the minimal mods to release full power).
At this rate I'll have the only standard NSR in the country! But then it is the Special Anniversary edition... _________________ MC21SP Plaything

Now that the 250 GP replica is nearing completion, I've been pondering over what to do next. I can't decide whether to start a 500 GP replica based on an NSR250, or look for a TZR250 3XV and build an Shinya Nakano Chesterfield Yamaha Tech 3 replica. I know your all gonna say stick with the Honda, but finding a donor bike for reasonable money is looking a bit tricky. _________________ Warning:

mines done now, there is nothing else I want to do to it anything else will be overkill I recon.....maybe a different rear brake caliper and if it wasnt a masssive job I would get rid of the polished frame and swinger. I didnt go massively over budget bike and mods stand me at about £2.5K.
I now have an RVF to throw some money at.....wheres that phone number for Ethos _________________ MC21SP - Roth-tax

They start of quite small and manageable, like a young baby but very soon they become out of control teenagers sucking every last spare penny out of you
I'm waiting for mine to retire now. _________________ If you dont like the way that i ride.....Stop trying to keep up!!!!!
