I am running an HRC 010 card in my 1995 MC28sp. It has the splice done with pipes and open airbox along with the HRC jet kit. I just learned reading here that the 010 was for leaded fuel and the 030 unleaded. What are the programing/ ignition curve differences between the cards. Should I even care if I run the 010 card with unleaded premium pump gas? The bike runs great, just wondering what the difference is. Thanks,
Thanks for explaining the card difference. Just so I'm clear, are you saying that my bike would be able to make more power with a 030 card and leaner jetting or that the detonation would reduce power if I wasn't rich enough with the 010 card.
Presumably if just richer jetting would "fix" the problems with the 010 card and unleaded fuel HRC would never have made the 030 card (the 020 being the leaded fuel wet weather card). They (HRC) don't do things for fun, the 010 card was designed for the 100 ron leaded fuel they used to be allowed to race with (bear in mind leaded fuel hasn't been sold at the pump in Japan since the 70's), not sure about where you are but even leaded 4* here was only 98ron.
Detonation from running the 010 card (or any other card) on too lean jetting will seriously reduce power (mainly by ripping your front cylinder plating off) _________________ Please do not PM me technical questions, if you can't find it on the Forum start a thread

Steve, you should just get the HRC030 card. I seized it twice running full throttle while runing HRC 010 ignition, and the spark plugs look to be riched too. It was harder to jet running unleaded fuel with the 010 card.
I just ordered a new hrc 030 for about $200 from GP-CITY in Sacramento, CA. http://gpcmoto.com/frames/newdefault.htm
Thanks for the help guys, I will order the 030 card to be safe. It seems to be running so good right now I hope it still does with the new card. As always this forum and it's member is an invaluable source of information.
