If air enters the oil system trouble will be cause to the oil lubrication.
Perform air bleeding to the oil pump and oil tube - oil path tube.
OIL TUBE, OIL PUMP AIR BLEEDING
Remove R Lower fairing (15-3)
Loosen oil pump indicator bleeded bolt and drain oil and air from oil tube and oil pump.
If all air is out, then reinstall bleeded bolt
* When oil tube is removed and oil cut and air enters the oil tube always bleed air from oil tube and oil pump.
* When bleeding air from oiltube and oil pump, always bleed air from oil path tube also.
OIL PATH TUBE AIR BLEEDING
* When oil tube is removed and oil cut and air enters the oil tube always bleed air from the oil tube and oil pump.
With a fuel ratio of 24-50:1, start engine with control lever in fully open position allow engine to idle up to 10 seconds and push oil from oil pump depending on if air is in oil path tube.
* Do not perform when muffler is hot. Do where ventalation is good and where there are no hot items.
* Use recommended engine oil
* Do not rev engine quickly.
Hope that helps. _________________ Charles Gallant
this is all out of the standard NSR Service Manual from Honda. It comes in many languages as long as the language your looking for is JPN. The pictures I have are crap and you can't really make out anything about them.
It's interesting that the initial NSR manual used actual photo's for a lot of their pictures, making copying via a copy machine nearly useless. THe MC28 manual used line drawings for all it's diagrams which produce a much clearner copy.
As for buying one? There is another thread that discusses this that is going on now. THey are available mostly in Japan, and on eBay sometimes.
DIagrams: Yes there are. it shows the oil pump and points out the path tubes as the ones that go from the pump to the carbs. The oil tube is the large tube that comes from the oil res, and the bleeder bolt is the bolt that sits on top of the pump body next to where the oil tube comes into the pump from the res tank. _________________ Charles Gallant

You don't want to know how long it takes to clean the images up to that kind of quality though, which is why our conversion of the Service Manuals is taking so long.
It's coming along though, and the feedback from the pages I uploaded recently for everyone to look at was good, so that is inspiring. There's about 250 pages to go though just on the MC16/18/21 manual alone, then about 150 for the MC28! _________________ Andy.

As you can see it's an NSR-WORLD.COM branded manual. And I have decided to kick Andy's ass into gear (as well as mine, cause I know we have both been sitting on our asses with this for some time. Guess life is getting in the way of giving things away for free).
Of course now Andy just needs to start sending me cleaner pics as my MC16/18/21 manual is missing in action, and my MC28 manual has had a hard life living most of it's life track side being a handy reference for late night rebuilds so the bike could be on the track the next morning, I am sure.
And for all of those who hate the NSR-WORLD inverted colors? It's just to make your life that much harder to copy the work that Andy and others put into the site. Donate, buy, and support the site. _________________ Charles Gallant
