Selling a NSR from the USA to Overseas?

Sun May 07, 2006 1:34 am » Post: #1 » Download Post

I hate to sell to overseas because these Bikes are hard to get to start with in the USA. Is it safe to sell overseas? I've heard of scams that deal with oversea payment. What should I do. How would I go about making sure I won't be a victim and Bikeless too. Who takes care of shipping? I got a Rothman NSR250R with sp parts needing to part with for. Any Takers?

There's always a market in the US - why bother shipping outside?!

Would have been nice to have tha information a couple weeks ago. Would you like to entertain us with price and pictures? I sold my race car to a fella in Austraila a couple years ago. It went OK, but there is always risk.. He wired me the money to my account. I thought it was safe, but the bank said he could pull the money back back any time . Shipping the car was also a pita because it didn't have a title, being a race car.

Yeah, I just fried a PGM but I got 2 bikes to play wif. One is registered and one isn't. I'm not going to ran-sack one bike to get the other running. It's nice to have one for parts but both runs well. I might have 2 bikes but 1 PGM...

I see you're from Texas. What are the limits on registering an imported bike these days. Do Texas has Emission requirements? My other bike I picked up for 3650 selling to get my money back. I want to fund my Registered Bike with the good stuff. #3 supersize please. :OP

How does one fry a PGM?

I haven't registered my bike yet, but I have looked into it The main office in Austin told me I can apply for a rebuild title.
I have to produce a bunch of reciepts show I have done significant work and replacement, putting the bike together from parts. Then I have to get a couple inspections. We have smog tests, but only in a couple areas, and I'm not sure it applies to bikes.

PM me about the bike.

NC30 should not be a problem, they have been approved for importation for street use in the US. You should be able to get a title with out trouble.
