If I do the hard wire modifications, do I still need the derestriction box like M-max?

Dont bother with the m-Max box is pooh, do the gear and pgm splice listed in the tunning section here and away you go. I had a m-max box on my bike before the splice and although it reved through the gears it still only topped 46hp, just by removing that and doing the splice gave me around 50hp,
