Can i use carbs from a 4 stroke on a 2 stroke? are carbs on a 2 stroke diffrent in some way, forget about jetting as i can get that done, but the oil is mixed in the crankcases right? so surly a decent set of 4 stroke carbs would work? and if i go pre mix its just a case of rejetting, or are we limited by width and size etc? im only asking as the ns4 carbs look like any other and the oli tubes seem to be in the carb manafold (rubber bit) so was thinking of some diffrent carbs for the bike and if i could get some cheaper from a 4 stroke bike that would be great! sorry if ive asked a dumb ass question but at this stage i dont know whats what!
No as the majoroty of 4t's use the engines vacuum to lift the slides 2t's use the cable. _________________ If you dont like the way that i ride.....Stop trying to keep up!!!!!
I guess flatslides from a ZXR750SP might work. The variations in length, diameter, venturi effect, power jet operation, Thottle position sensor, oil pump pick off etc might make your head spin, so going with the NSR or Honda RS is probably easier... _________________ MC21SP Plaything

I had ideas of slapping some speed triple carbs onto the NS4 LOL cause im lazy and scared to open the ones i have LOL, Oh well its gona be a learning experiance!!! Ill get me hamer and drill im sure thats how you strip em!!! or is that kill em!!
You could use CV carbs. If you want to lock the slide open (or up) the butterfly will regulate the fuel. Some racers have done this but you get crap throttle responce. It's mainly for top end, which is where you always are on a race track.
