Thu May 25, 2006 9:54 am » Post: #1 » Download Post

which HRC fork springs would be recommended for use with an ohlins rear?

HRC fork springs for the MC21 are part #
51402-NH3-761 rated at 0.6-0.85 kgf/mm
51403-NH3-761 rated at 0.7-0.9 kgf/mm

I weigh 170 pounds.

Springs for front end

You might want to use the stock spring with thicker oil.

Just a suggestion, I was going to change mine to race tech but the one they have is quite stiff(at least for street use).

Good luck

Surely you want to use a rear shock spring on a rear shock? Front springs look far too long to fit on there! Wink

I just got me a set od HRC springs for my forks so i think they're not disco'd. I got the p/n from the tuning section. After they were setup right, they feel feckin awesome! Can't go wrong with HRC..
and yes, the racetech springs are a lil too stiff for the lil nsr.

Johnblaze where did you order the HRC springs from?
I sent Apex Leisure a e-mail and they told me it was discontinued.

You could try the hyperpro springs. I used them on my race NSR and they worked very well. No chatter under hard braking.

I'm 180ish and a good suspension tuner in Northern California suggested I go with .80kg/mm springs for the front while the rear spring is good enough for my weight but I should revalve it.

I just got my .80 springs from racetech and will be sending my rear shock to get revalved by Aftershocks Suspension in a few weeks.

if it worked for you I don't see I shouldn't give it a try. if it's still too soft I can try changing the springs.
