after 3 months of going through everything, I finally was able to take it for a my first ride. it's a 21 made to look like a 28. Embarassed
It still needs work, like rejetting, new bodywork, and HRC derestrictor.
Much harder on my body then my RGV, probably from the clip ons and rearsets, but it was a blast. But definately needs some more power.
Hopefully I can get it over 65HP without breaking the bank.

Nice! I have a MC21 as well....in need of bodywork right now, runs nice though. Does the MC28 bodywork line up well with the MC21 mounting tabs?

the only thing is you need to make a bracket for the tail. other than that it's almost a straight swap.
I'm told yur bodywork is coming to my place so we can save on shipping cost. we should get together for a ride sometime.

anytime. e-mail me at iwou@yahoo.com and we can arrange a day. Might have to take the RGV out to keep up with your NSR.

A sad day when you have to choose an RGV over an NSR for a ride-out! Wink

Did you know they used to sell two strokes in Vancouver up until maybe 1987 Laughing
as long as it is 15 years old customs has no problem as long as you have the registration and a bill of sale.

Andy, if both were in stock form I think the NSR would get my vote. but at the moment, I think even you would pick 67HP over 40ish.

No NSR of mine would be 40hp for long! Wink Besides, if you take the 40hp NSR at least you know the ride-out isn't only going to be one way!! Laughing

This is an MC18 R5K before and after nothing more than an orange/blue wire splice. No pipes, no rejetting, nothing. No reason why an MC21 shouldn't do something similar and see 55~60hp instantly.
