Classic Bike Cadwell Park Burn Up

Thu Aug 03, 2006 4:41 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

Classic Bike magazine is organising a track day at Cadwell Park (full circuit) for the 12 September. It's £95 a place.

All bikes must be pre-1990 (sorry MC21/28 owners). Lower capacity limit is 240cc. Race bikes welcome (dust of the TZ or RS). Open to both two-stroke and four-strokes. We'd like to see RGs, TZRs, NSs, NSRs, KR1s, RGVs, RDs, X7s, KHs and any other pre-90 beauties.

Call 0870 850 5013 or www.motorsportvision.co.uk/trackdays

See you there.

Thats ok, after 1989 NSR250's started going down hill anyway. You only want true NSR's.

The engines got strangled, but the chassis got better. And it ain't exactly hard to de-restrict eh?

A de-restricted '21 still wont make as much power as a de-restricted '18. Something to do with the fact they have that micky mouse PGM-III, worse port timing, smaller exhausts and a crankcase design that goes anyway from the proven RS unlike the '18. The '18's the bollox Wink

'21 but mine feels like its running Leigh Shocked

Personally I think the '18 is a better motor, internaly it is much closer to an RS than the '21 is. However the '21 does have a better cylinder design (cooling wise) but not porting.

Heres my '18 running race pipes, and air box mod vs my old '21 with race pipes, HRC jet kit, open carbs with HRC loom and delimter box. The '18 feels so much faster though it has alot less mods. The F3 '21 kicks the '18 to hell but thats not really fair.

Waynes 18 was flying at LLandow.
I didn`t get to ride it unfortunately, but it was comparable to the 300, as I said though, the 300 had 210 mains & I didn`t adjust needles, etc.

Your 21 was quicker / more powerful than my bike though. I thought it would rev higher & be more peaky, guess I`m more used to 4 stroke 600`s & 1000`s these days.

It felt like a slightly more tourqey version of my 300.
