R/C HELP

Sun Aug 20, 2006 5:38 am » Post: #1 » Download Post

Hi

I'm trying to remove the rc valve to take the cylinder off, but the center nut spins freely on the thread and won't undo. Has anyone had this and what did they do to remove the nut?

What holds the valve control rod in?

Thanks in advance

Once the backing plate bolts have been removed, there's nothing but carbon build up holding the valve rod in.

I use the claws of a hammer under the plate to provide some leaverage, just make sure you protect the cylinder where the hammer rests.

There is a circlip behind the gasket. The only way to get it out is to pull the axis. This will destroy the oilseal (91201-PA9-004) and the circlip(90601-KV3-000 ), so you need new ones.
When ordering these at Tyga plus nut, buy their Valve puller, its more elegant than the claw hammer Very Happy
