thats funny. I looked at the first pic and I was like, Hey, that looks like Aptos? then I looked at the second pic and I was like, Hey, that's the Rio Flats in the back ground!

My girl friend lived on the other side of Seacliff (north side of state park), and I lived off Soquel over by Safeway. My view looked out over the bay from up on the hill, while my girl friends house was on the cliff's so we had a view from Monterey to Pleasure point to look at on the back deck.

Hey, that VFR? Did you pick it up? I owned that bike, and sold it to a guy up in SF. I saw him selling it about a year later. Wondered where it went to.

Charles , you have a keen sense of observation!!!! Very Happy You are correct on all counts. I'm on East Seacliff. You can find my NC28 parked up at the coffee shop next to safeway on Soquell. Laughing That is our old NC30 in the pics. I bought it from "Maxsmiley" on BARF who use to live in SF but I believe he now resides in Hawaii. I sold the NC30 right before I moved here 2 years or so ago. I remember riding the NC30 here while shopping houses. I was just over the summit on 17 when I noticed 2 highway robbers on motorcycles (chp) had a car pulled over. I went by them on the pipe with about 12k showing on the tach, they did not return my bueaty queen wave Razz

Ah, Aptos Roasting Company. My morning stop for a quick cup. One of the best coffee places in the county if you ask me. My girlfriend always hated the fact that I would go there in the morning instead of drinking her coffee. I honestly think it was the crappy county water that made her coffee taste like crap, since the same coffee maker works just fine here in Georgia.

So you live in the house that has the Chopper Shop sign on the beach flats side? Always wondered what was up with that. I built a custom of my own (Shh, don't let Andy know, hell kick me off the forums Smile ), as well as the owner of Hell Riser Customs (over in Soquel) lives over on the east side of Seacliff.

So now the question I have is which corner store do you go to? We always had a running joke that the two corner stores at State Park and Seacliff divided the neighborhood. Everyone on the east side went to the east side store, and everyone on the west side went to the west side store.

Right you are!! Aptos roasting company. There is now a starbucks inside safeway as well as aptos village, in fact one of the girls that use to work there is lying naked and asleep next to me as I type. Razz

Yes that is my house on the corner that use to have the sign. I do sidejobs in my garden shed of a garage. My former employer SCHD made me take the sign down. Worst shop I ever worked for. I go to both stores depending on my needs. East side for a cigar, west side for a grey goose.

It was big news when "quiqley" won his federal case against chp and helmet law. You remember him.....Biker fellow who never wears a helmet.

I agree with you about the water, lifes to short for crappy coffee.
