its now 15 C outside and it will be under the freeze point in a month here in hungary! i was just wondering what i should do with the poor thing! it will be indoors but what else should i look out for? fill the gas tank? or leave it enpty...etc... _________________ feel the wind
Last year mine sat outside, uncared for and seized up (I live in the middle of Derbyshire, it gets cold here too), it started 3rd kick at Steve's with the "borrowed" barrel.
This year it will sit outside, not seized up and get used occasionally (I hope).

Not saying a word Fontyyy... other than you won't get a chance to use it as you'll soon descend into 6 months of total darkness that far north anyway!! _________________ Andy.

it will be -25 to -35 C here so for me its got to be indoors but should i drain her dry? or leave evrything as it is? i will disconect the batt. for sure! _________________ feel the wind
If its any help mate, Id drain the tank and carbs, put a litlle oil in the tank and slosh it about ( youll have to flush it next year) take the plugs out stick some 2 stroke oil down each barrel and turn the engine slowly with kick start to coat the iners, put the plugs back in, remove battery and cover the bike, also try and get bothe wheels off the ground and let some preassure out to save the rubber, next year youll need to clean out the oild from the tank, put battery back in, change the plugs and your should be away.... Thats what i would do, No doubt someone will have diffrent idea's oh yeah and change the G box oil and 2 stroke oil next year as well
Ops and try to stop moisture getting to her, a nice dry warm living room is always good
and the most important part? Make sure you got ANTI-FREEZE in the radiator. Drain that thing good. Turn it upside down to get all the water out, then fill it full with anti-freeze. _________________ Charles Gallant
Personally I would fill the tank as much as you can. An empty tank can attract condensation and that means rust. _________________ james
