Just had a test ride

Sun Oct 29, 2006 4:16 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

Just took my new 28 for a spin, it feels quick, Barry_MC21 also had a go and he was impressed!!! Looking forward to getting it on the track now (or Stephens dyno Wink ).

Might take it for a daytime MOT this week so I can ride it legally, I just need to fit a horn, although I am a bit worried about the noise levels for the MOT, do you think it fail though induction noise through those big open carbs??

Dont worry Maxim, I will ignore him, he is just jealous that my road mc28 has been going 8 years withour so much as having the carbs taking off, and he has to pull his apart every couple of weeks.

Mind you, I do agree with him that it probably could do with some new rings, I will get those fitted after the blue haze day next week.

Hi,

I gotta say it's funny that your name is watfordhorn and the only thing your bike needs is a horn Laughing

Pah, I laugh in the face of 38's!! Only girls have 38's, You want nice BIG 39's.

lol, if youre going to the bluehaze day you can have a go on the full F3 and see how it compaired to your latest purchase. Last time you rode it it was a bit limp, now its full power Wink

It certainly did go very well.

This is going to be one hell of a track / race bike. I was tempted to take it a bit further but didn't want to use all of Leigh's fuel. Last time I done that he ran out on the way to the petrol station! Embarassed

I'm really going to have to do something special on my track bike to keep up with it I think, even with an extra 700cc I dont think that will be enough! Confused

Yes the blue haze day is the Ace cafe on sunday, it will be good to see you there Maxim, I dont think I will make it until about 12:30 though.

So is it thought that my bike should pass its mot with race pipes on open carbs? Seeing as they are only 38's I should be ok Wink !!

I might just have to leave my carbs off and pour the fuel straight in just to keep up! I reckon I can judge it well enough to get the right mix!!! Wink

Fit the Number plate and tax disc from your other 28,that will cure that problem not that you would find me doing that sort of thing Wink
