Mon Dec 04, 2006 6:56 am » Post: #1 » Download Post

Guys

My MC21 has a PGM2 loom and CDI, will replace it soon with a PGM3 setup.

I notice that i am missing something with PGM2 can you see the photo and let me know what should be there? I know that it exists on PGM3 setup

http://www.motorcyclelane.com/missing.jpg

Thanks
James

Mick

The second coil is located down next to the lower cylinder, when i saw the pgm3 loom it has a small box (Relay) or something that mounts there

No Dave

I am pointing out next to the coil there is another bracket that is nothing there. Note that the lower cylider coil is lower next to the lower cylinder.

if you see where i point is another empty bracket next to the top cylider coil

On the '21 that bracket isn't used and is left blank. Nothings missing, well thats the case on mine anyway.

There should be something on that bracket with a "normal" PGM-III setup. StephenRC45 is abnormal... take no notice of him!! Very Happy

I believe it's the headlight relay.

Not labeled here (sorry) but you can see the relay in the bottom diagram.

I think Andy`s right with the main beam relay.
Can`t remember if it`s in that position on my bike but I do hear a clicking noise when the pass advance swich is pressed, so it`s up there somewhere!
Have I been vague enough here? Very Happy
