Rear Sprocket

Mon Jan 22, 2007 5:42 am » Post: #1 » Download Post

Guys,

I'm about to change my rear sprocket but I have a huge problem. I am under the impression that my rear wheel is the original for mc18 r5k which is 18"., but I'm surprised that it is 17" inch rear wheel. It's probably good news on tire selection but I don't know gat sprocket to buy.. The parts manual for MC18 r5k will be useless since its a different rear wheel. I don't know what bike the wheel came from but its look exactly the same as the original in the mc18 pictures, is also has 6 spokes. I don't know what bike it came from.. could it be from the mc21 or the mc22 (CBR)? the sprocket that came with the bike is a TALON 42T-520. any suggestion on what bike the wheel came from?

Thanks.

Not without photos! Smile

TALON 42T-520 is just the number of teeth and the chain width.

And I don't mean crap photos taken with a mobile phone!!! Very Happy

thanks for the reply andy..

Here are some pics, I hope this is photos are good enough for you.

I hope I got the links correctly.

Here is the wheel before I painted it.

Then the following pics are the wheel and sprockets.

I think my 17" wheel is from a MC21, since the CBR250RR and CBR400RR both has Hubs in their sprocket. But I'm not sure.

So any conclusions guys?[/url]

Thanks mick..

can you confirm this andy?

I just need to sure.. because I will order the sprocket and its like $100 here in our place. The brand is Renthal, can't get a hold of talon or AFAM in our place.
