I'm currently in the process of a complete overhaul on my MC21.
I tore down the motor today and found that i have a bad bearing on the crank. It was caused from the bike sitting around outside and rust formed on it. I was able to free it up but i'm concerned that it's no longer any good. It doesnt feel so smooth.
Anyhow are replacement bearings available? Also how would i go about replacing rod bearings and the crank bearing in the middle of the crank?
There is much talk about rebuilding NSR cranks, but none has produced one yet (that was reliable).
At the cost of a new crank (about $600.00 USD), your better off getting a new crank, and know your crank isn't going to fail due to bearings that were not meant to be used on the crank.
I know I got a new crank from TYGA (http://tygaperformance.com) for about that price (hard to say, as I also bought the rest of an engine parts with it).
