fork springs

which way do they go round?when i took my early type nc30(same as mc18 internally) apart the tightly wound end was facing upwards which seems to be different to every exploded diagram and technical article i've read Confused

by lazy you mean the end which isnt wound tightly,meaning spring was round the right way Wink

The lazy coil is the tightly wound end.

Or to put it another way, the end which is almost coil bound (coils really close) goes to the bottom.

The guy who runs a vfr 400 site got back to me,according to his haynes manual on the early k model forks the springs go in lazy coil at the top.
