MC28 Brake Pads

Hi,
Anyone have a good recommendation for new front pads? I need the part number as well. EBC or Vesrah would be appreciated.

Joel, they are common with LOADS of other Honda's. Later Fireblade, VTR1000 etc.

I have HRC pads, but really like the Brembo (green). You have to go a long way to beat genuine Honda/Nissin for all-round feel in my opinion though. They are also well matched to the disc material.

Find the Honda part number in the Online Parts Manual.

I was able to find these part numbers for further reference:

EBC Scintered - FA 187HH, yes, they share with other models.

The VJ23A pads that I'm trying to get aren't shared and aren't available in the USA Sad

Like Andy says the standard Nissin pad is very good, Honda have also dropped the price on them over the last 12 months.

I just got some ceramic race pads for mine. Got em a bit ago and think they are EBC. I'll double check and let you know with part #. They were expensive . . . I remember that much.

Checked on those pads. I was mistaken, they are Ferodo raceing pads PN# FDB858CP211. I'll let you know how they work.

O.E Honda definately best.
And you can order the 23 pads from a few suppliers to the States my friend. Not certain - but I think they DO share with something... I'll check when I get 5 mins.
