Wed Apr 04, 2007 9:05 am » Post: #1 » Download Post

Guys just a quick question... it is possible to use the RC Servo of MC16 for my MC18.. mine already blew off.. it seems that its the same terminal but i'm afraid to try because it might fry my pgm.

Thanks.

The plug will need re-wiring (pin colours are different orientation) and the mounts are different, so you will need to make a new mounting bracket.

Andy,

how can I be sure if the servo was the one broken? could it be possible that the pgm is the problem but the bike still runs? how can I check if I really have a broken servo? I can still turn it by hand.. its not locked up.

anyone knows how to diagnose if the problem is the pgm or the servo? I really need to know this mates cause I'm about to buy a servo but I'm not sure if the problem is the servo or the PGM. I cant even test it before I buy it cause its gonna be shipped from another country.

I would try putting a multi meter to the servo motor block connector, If you dont get any juice then its not the servo motor.

Stepehen I managed to get some voltage from the servo block connector.. and this is how it reads.. The two wires to the (M) get a voltage of 2 Volts and the other two wires including the other one separated reads 4.5. So does this means my PGM is ok and the servo motor is the one faulty? how about the T.P.S. is it also possible that is the problem?
