Hi!
does anyone knows, if with some mods you can take passenger with the tyga gp seat cowling?can it stand up to the weight?
if not is there any other except stock seat cowling that can take passenger?
The TYGA subframe is designed for one rider only. It's is not designed to have weight at the back, other than the battery and PGM.
If you try to do this then you're on your own. Chances are the subframe will bend, or worse than that, actually break and unload your passenger into the rear wheel at high speed, which won't be pretty.
The YSR80 was designed for loading Soi 8 girls on it.
Doubt it, the "real" pillon seats sit the sitter on the frame, the Tyga seat is not like that, the weight would (not?) be supported by the fibreglass shell. _________________ Please do not PM me technical questions, if you can't find it on the Forum start a thread
I saw that the tyga cbr400/250 seat cowl is nice and has what needs to take passenger. If someone from tyga could tell me if i can modify a cbr400/250 subframe to fit nsr frame and fit at last this seat cowl.Sorry for the tiring questions but i want this to be solved.thanks!
The whole idea with the Tyga seat, is that a single seat, GP style looks better and its definitely not made for a passenger .
The Honda seat is made for a passenger.
Its your choice:
Smart Tyga, no girlfriend
Oldfashioned Honda, and girlfriend.
You might as well skip the girlfriend already now. Or she will eventually make you sell the NSR so she can get a new kitchen
The seller of my SP told me he sold for exactly that purpose _________________ Poul

I will choose another option cause stock seat cowl sucks. Its not about girlfriend or friends only, its just that
I want my bike to be streetable and everyday driving pleasure not a track day only bike!
I know why you're so negative...
cause this cowl i like was designed for a 4stroke crap!
If you know someone who works in fibregalss, have them reinforce the inside of the seat unit with kevlar sheeting or similar, that way you'll keep the looks and get the strength of the weave underneath.
Still won't solve the problem of the frame design though, but perhaps you can have a stronger one of those made too? _________________ MC21SP Plaything

Thanks for the reply!
I was just thinking of buying the tyga CBR250 seat cowl with a CBR250 stock subframe and then modify it to fit my MC21's frame...
Dave i read that you have an HRC BOX on board...
Do you know if it gives you more ponnies than the wiresplice?
Let's not deviate from the topic. There's a million and one posts regarding wire-splices, HRC delimiters, and tuning... go do a search! _________________ Andy.

As Andy says, but the quick one line answer is I dunno. It made 63 without an air filter... _________________ MC21SP Plaything
