Guys I really need help on my mc18. Here is what heppened. When I start it at morning it will start without a fuss at one kick.. then as usual.. it will idle a little bit higher and smokes a lot because it will burn any excess oil or fuel.. then before it gets hot.. the top cylinder dies and eventually the bottom will die too.. and sometimes the bottom dies first then the top.. I have new piston rings so I will discount that.. when I pull the plugs out and plug in new sets of plugs it will start ok and I will be able to run it again but the next morning it will happen again. but when I was able to run it and heats up it wont die and runs ok even if I turn it off then run it again its ok.. the only problem is the first start in the morning. I dont thing its the temperature because I live in a tropical country and morning here is like summer in europe.. do anyone has an idea?
It's either too rich mixture and or injecting/premixed too much oil if it's really bad or you're just expecting too much if you're leaving it for ages, it is after all a stroker, they don't like steady revs at any level.
I don't leave mine sat there ticking over but it would die inside 5 mins if I did.. _________________ Please do not PM me technical questions, if you can't find it on the Forum start a thread
CHECK/ADJUST oil mixture and CHECK/ADJUST oil injection
maybe you just have to flip the gas once in while, instead of a slow steady idle _________________ Poul
