I have dimensions for pipes that made nearly 68hp on my MC21, but along with the 2 other sets of pipes and the dyno time developing them, they cost over £600... NSR-WORLD's PayPal address is...
Go buy some used ones or the software to design them is my advice!
The idea was to have them in (limited) production this spring, but as ever, things change! _________________ Andy.

I think you migt find it way easier to buy hens teeth or rocking horse sh*t than find a set of second hand pipes.
so would like a set for my 18 but they just dont exist out there in the market. Got a set of standards that I am going to use just the header section (the really hard bit to construct) and change the cones n see what i can get. will post up results when I can.

make a set, see how it perfoms on the dyno, measure the gas temperature in the three sections
make another set using the revised temperatures and knowledge of power delivery to lengthen/shorten teh sections
go back to 2 and repeat adinfinitum, or at least until you are satisfied with the performance
Steps two onwards get you in front of the goal posts - how close depends on how much patience you have. It is clear now why Andy wants money for his hard earned drawings - it takes time and effort to make a few sets and associated dyno time (with rejetting and ignition optimisation for each set) to get something he was happy with.
There are also software available which does the calcuations if you look hard enough on the internet - try typing expansion chamber design software into google, like this.
A better decription of expansion chamber design, tied to port time area, is available in the book by John Wood at http://www.lortim.demon.co.uk - if he can get a 200cc villiers engine from 8bhp to 40+bhp, he must know his onions. _________________ NSRless again...
THE NICE WAY:
Find a guy with chambers you like ( I said Guy and Chambers not ... )
Meet him at a pub
Spend a few pints on him
Measure his chambers while he drinks his beer
Done. :
THE NOT SO .... :
order some chambers on the internet
copy them
return them within 14 days, no questions asked, acc. to EU law
done
but it might be difficult to order anything at that place again _________________ Poul

So...I've lost 15kg, presuming we were similar weight before will me on my bike now be quicker than Steve on the F3? _________________ Please do not PM me technical questions, if you can't find it on the Forum start a thread
lol but ive saved 25kg Fontyyy.... woohoo I'm on a 100hp NSR missile!
As Andy says, stock pipes really take some beating...
MC18 stock pipes can produce up 62hp on a stock motor with abit of jetting.
MC21 stock pipes have seen to produce over 65hp with light mods to the bike. Neither really shabby in the hp dept. _________________ If I have to take the carbs off once more...
