How about a '94 Rothmans with only 600 kms. $10K with CA title (and I consider that cheap). _________________ james

10k u.s dollars ? Man those things are worth a pretty penny over there !!! Were they ever released in usa, or are they all imports from Japan or UK ? _________________ Winning isn't everything, but loosing isn't anything
The NSR was never officially sold anywhere except Japan. Good NSRs are getting to be worth allot of money everywhere. _________________ james

hey joel, it was good to meet you also, thanks for the help so far guys.
i think i would have a hard time wanting to put miles on a bike thats basically brand new. i want to ride it and have a grin and be a proud NSR owner. also it's a pain trying to reg. a bike with less than 7,500 on the odometer. is the bike in ca.? is it a SP ?
I have been in contact with a guy from Fla that imports grey bikes... I spoke with him once in Feb, and he called me back the other day seeing if I were still looking for a bike.
When I did speak with him, he said the bikes come with a title. Though you aren't supposed the go using them on the street, you can. May be worth a try, He said he has 20 bike as of now. Let me know if you want the contact info.

CA seems to be the hardest State to try to title any grey imports (NSR,RGV,RVF and etc.). Even if one is able to purchase one from other states, the hardest part is getting it street plated here. Thats the main reason why grey imports with CA plates tends to sell $1k -$3 higher than other places.
I think the biggest thing with getting a title transfered, if it has one, is that the VIN doesn't go with anything that is sold in the US, so it's not in the computer systems. Mine hade a Cali title and didn't go through when I went to transfer it in PA. Had to take it to a place to verify that the VIN was in fact correct..... Then I got the title back , took 3 1/2 months, was scared I was never going to see it !!!! _________________ MC21

That's in his signature. Your opening post is regarding obtaining an NSR (preferably with CA plates).
If you want to be pedantic and argue about it, you'll find I'm rather handy with both the thread lock and the thread delete button! _________________ Andy.
