Flywheel, Stator and Generator From a MC28 to MC21

Thu Oct 11, 2007 10:04 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

Hi...

I have found from a guy a flywheel, a stator and also a generator from a MC28 and I want to use it to my MC21 (Mine is in useless condition)... Can I do that...? Are these parts the same...? Or must find from an MC21 model...?
Thanks
Mixalisen

MC28 static advance is crap compared to the 21. If you want to go slower, it's the way to go! Very Happy

You'd be better off with an MC18-R5/6K flywheel, or even better still, an MC21 item!

In other words, find an MC21 flywheel.

I believe that the HRC flywheel has a little more advance than the stock MC28 flywheel, but I cannot tell you for sure.

However I am sure there are 2, possibly 3 people on the Forum racing next year that would be interested in that setup, and at least 2 of them have MC21 flywheels! Wink

Gulity as charged!

I had already sent him a PM earlier...

Mixalisen, as Andy said, I'm racing an MC28 with MC21 parts, so if you don't want the MC28 HRC parts, please send them my way. I have various MC21 bits you can have in exchange - like an MC21 HRC loom and PGMIII remapping box, MC21 lightenend flywheel etc. Or I can buy the parts off you.

Cheers

The MC28 HRC SP kit flywheel is a lightened (charging) version of the stock flywheel. Timing is the same. Simple plug 'n' play.

It's worth one hp.
