I don't think any other sprocket is the same as the nsr because of the special drive lugs.

help help...

Now there, Now there .

As you might have noticed, this is the internet. You are in cyberspace now.
Find a sprocket anywhere in the world, order it and 3-5 days later you have it at your door !
Its most times easier than having to run around town finding one.

sir im not comfortable doing orders over the net. after reading a testimonial of a co-forummer here, he ordered a whole bike pay for it, and he found out that the transaction is a fraud. anyway thanks for the reply greatly appreciated. how i wish another sproc from other bikes can fit an nsr. theres only 3 shops here that do imports for the parts two of them told me that theres no more available parts for my nsr for it is already phased out (duh) and the other one is asking 300 US dollars for a renthal sprocket Rolling Eyes .

I ordered one from an aussie shop over the web. They made front and rears to fit my MC16. Check out www.chaingang.com.au

Paid via credit card and they shipped to me a couple of days later.

I bought a brand new MC21 sprocket a few months ago for about $70 I think. You can also get sprockets custom made from Sprocket Specialties. I think you can also get sprockets through NSR-world.com. If you aren't willing to do business overseas on the internet, then you should probably not own a NSR. I don't know why your so worried about doing business over the internet. That guy trying to sell you the sprocket for $300 is the one who is ripping you off, and he is doing it in your face.

sir doing business on the internet is not very much practiced here in manila. theres lot of scams report here regarding such transactions, thats why, i hope you understand. and yes 300 US dollars is so much for a sproc and that is why im seeking some advice and suggestions from this site for a replacement. and its not that easy to let go lets say 70 dollars because that amount can already buy a scooter Very Happy

For fear of sounding blunt, you've got a two choices. you either leave your NSR off the road with a broken sprocket, or you pay for a replacement. I'm sure that if you put a wanted add up in Andy's classified section then someone will come along to help. But seeing as you're in the philippines then the shipping's gonna hurt what ever way you look at it.

Or you could weld the teeth back on Shocked seen that done here in Thailand before.

However, if your sprocket is that badly damaged then your chain is probably well past it's best too, and they aren't cheap. Not for a good brand.

Bite the bullet, pay the money and love your NSR. Wink

This is exactly the time to try out internet, as its only a sprocket, not a whole bike.

But as someone said, try a wanted ad, here on nsr-world, many people have stuff like that lying around, f.ex. if they bought some specials. if youre really tight on money you might even get a used, most of us change way before the teeth are breaking off Shocked
Some of the racers might have some not to heavily used, but specify what you need: rear or front, how many teeth ?

PS: I've bought a lot of stuff from tyga-performance, which is run by guys very well known on this board and trustworthy.
at least in business, in the Thailand nightlife, I can't say Very Happy

K3,

I've never been to the Philippine Embassy. I wonder what their security is like?

I used to have a friend who worked at the Swiss Embassy and we raced around the Embassy ground at 2am on an RS250. What a laugh. The security were chearing us on Laughing

My friend claimed that he was the maintenance man, but I'm not so sure.
